Hello and welcome New Member!
This is Legacy's new members guide to help you on your role playing adventure in the Legacy/charmed world!
If you have already done one of these steps just skip it and go to the next.
Step 1.
Rules and Plot.
Every well designed role playing form has some type of rules. This site is no different.
The Rules can be change at anytime, when the admin feels it is needed to add a new number. So sometimes it's nice to read back from time to time or for the first time at least. If you have done a ProBoards role play before you must likely have seen these rules before.
Next is the plot. This is not required but it can be useful during role play. Sadly the site plot has many and more grammar mistakes so I wouldn't be to heart broken if you didn't read it.
Also Legacy has Episode Plots that help to move along the story. These are mostly about the cannons but customs can get there cut on it too from time to time. Also you can send in your plot ideas to be reviewed and once approved will became a official site Ep. plot! Your characters name will be add at the bottom as the writer of the plot.
Step 2.
The Character Center
This part can be fun or can be a pain. The character application or App. You can choose from our long list of Cannons or make up your own.
If you choose a cannon...
If you choose a cannon you have the choose to Revere a character. To do this all have to do is reply to the thread that has your character and say you'd like that character.
Next go to the profile codes..
Pick the the profile that is your character Species or race. (Half whitelighter or half demon is a hybrid. )This is the same for custom as well to keep the profile uniform. Most off hybrids like half demon/half whitelighter will not be approved. The most likely hybrids are mixed with gray races or species.
Grays = Witches, Humans, Warlock..Etc.
Copy and paste the code and then go to pending cannons.
and post the FULLY FILLED OUT profile with your characters name as the subject.
If you are not done just say so in your subject somehow like {ND} or (In the works), this is the same for the customs as well.
If you choose a custom...
As a custom you are basically making a character all your own so everything on the profile is from you. From the name to the actor and powers.
In the custom board there are lists to help you plan your character. There is face claim idea list to help you find out who you would want your character to look like. As this is based and made like a TV show, the face claim must be a real life celebrity not a drawing or Myspace personnel sorry. Also a list of powers to help you pick out your powers!
After you got your character set up look into the profile codes board. There you will find profiles made up for each race/Species. Pick the one that matches your character and copy. Then go to the pending custom board and past in a post with the subject your characters name.
After filling out the App you wait to be approved by a mod or admin.
Step 3.
After being Approved!
Yay you made it passed the hard part. Now you have many choose you can do. You can go straight to role playing on any of the boards or you can do any of those......
Claims
In Claims there is three things you can do.
You can claim your actors....
So no one can use your actor while you are still a member.
You can also...
Sign up for your character's own home sub- board, so your character can role play being at home without mixing in with walking down the street or anything of that sort.
Or
If your character owns a shop or store of some kind you can sign up for your own sub-board for that as well.
Next in the character center is something some role players do for plot grow and is completely optional - Character Relationships threads, this allows you to keep track and plan relationships with other characters out of character.
